Meet the Pastor. Pastor Adam grew up in a small town in western Colorado, where he trusted Christ as his Savior at age 5. After graduating from Bible College, he spent fifteen years in missions work in Argentina and Mexico, planting four churches and starting several Bible institutes. In March of 2009, Pastor Adam Thompson accepted the call to pastor Capitol City Baptist. Today, under his leadership, the Capitol City Baptist Church continues to grow, mature spiritually and reach the world with the Gospel of Christ.

We are a church offering preaching, teaching and conservative music that glorifies the Lord. We exalt the only Savior, Jesus Christ, and help Christians walk daily with Him using fundamental preaching and teaching from the Word of God, the King James Bible.
What can I expect?
We want you to enjoy the beautiful congregational music, the special selections sung by our talented musicians, and the helpful teaching and preaching from God's Word. On Sunday mornings, we host a "visitor fellowship" for our guests where you can get to know Pastor Adam and his wife Kim while enjoying refreshments.
Where are you located?
We are located on the corner of Banister Ln. and Redd St., just two blocks South from Ben White Blvd. The address is 1300 Redd Street, Austin, TX 78745.
Where do I take my children?
Starting with an excellent nursery, there is something special for children of each age. At every service, there is a safe, clean, and well-staffed nursery for children three years old and under. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
What about my teen?
Our youth meet together each Sunday morning at 10 AM and Wednesday night at 7:30 and have regular activities on Friday night at 6 PM.
